Nigeria offers rewards for Boko Haram leaders

Nigeria’s military is offering large rewards for information leading to the capture of leaders of the militant Islamist group Boko Haram.

Military officials said 50m naira ($317,000; £197,709) was offered for help in tracking down the group’s suspected leader Abubakar Shekau. Other alleged commanders have around 10m naira on their head.
Boko Haram has been waging an insurgency since 2009 to impose strict Sharia law across Nigeria.

The group has claimed responsibility for a number of attacks against churches and other establishments since 2009. More than 640 people have died so far this year in attacks blamed on the group.

“They are wanted in connection with terrorist activities particularly in the north-east zone of Nigeria that led to the killings, bombings and assassination of some civilians, religious leaders, traditional rulers, businessmen, politicians, civil servants and security personnel amongst others,” a military statement said.

“They are also wanted for arson and destruction of properties worth millions of naira.”
Abubakar Shekau was one of three Boko Haram leaders designated terrorists by the United States in June. The other two, Abubakar Adam Kambar and Khalid al-Barnawi, are thought to have ties with a branch of al-Qaeda.

A reward was offered by the Nigerian military for Khalid Barnawi on Friday but not Abubakar Kambar, AFP news agency reports. Boko Haram, whose name means “Western education is a sacrilege” in the Hausa language, is based in the dominantly Muslim north of Nigeria.

The south of the oil rich country is mostly Christian.

Woman Sell 12year old Daughter as Wife to ‘Mentally Retarded Man’ for $551

A 12-year-old girl from southwest China’s Guizhou Province was sold by her mother for 3,500 yuan (US$551) to a family that needed a wife for an allegedly mentally retarded son.
The girl, named Jia Jia, was sold in August last year from her hometown in Pingba County to a woman surnamed Xu in Guiyang, the provincial capital.
She was forced to have sleep with Xu’s 30-year-old son until her uncle rescued her a year later, according to the Qianzhong Morning Post.
The mother, surnamed Cai, gave birth to Jia Jia when she was 15. Her uncle looked after the girl but Cai took her away from her uncle in August last year, claiming she had put her to work in a restaurant.
But the newspaper reported Cai sold Jia Jia to Xu as a wife for her mentally retarded son, claiming the girl was 15.
Both Cai and Xu denied knowing it was illegal to trade people.
Xu told the newspaper: “I was eager to find a wife for my son. I did not know I was breaking the law.”
The two women were detained for human trafficking and Xu’s son was held on charges of rape, the report said. Xu’s son told the newspaper his mother forced him to sleep with the girl.
A medical exam showed the girl had been sexually assaulted at a young age and might be infertile as a result, according to the report.
After finding out Jia Jia had been sold, her uncle called the family, claiming her grandfather was sick and insisting the girl visit him. When Jia Jia came home inAugust, the uncle refused to let her leave.
He called police when Xu, her son and other relatives tried to abduct her.

Caught red handed-Lagos Couple Who Are Kidnappers

When the management of Blueprint Business Technology, an ICT solution company, secured the service of Victor Sunday as an automobile engineer some years back, it didn’t occur to them that he was up to something more sinister than they could ever imagine. The 34-year-old man, in connivance with his wife, Eno, and a friend, Idom Essong, staged and kidnapped one of the company’s directors simply identified as Adebayo, squeezing a ransom of N36 million from his family.

The money which was shared between Sunday and his wife and others that took part in the operation, afforded him two automobiles, a jeep and a bus, while part of it was spent on a building project. While this was going on, Sunday didn’t quit working for the ICT company, he held on to his position, going about his duties as if nothing happened. But some of his colleagues at the office who noticed a sudden change,an expensive life style got suspicious, and alerted the management who brought in the police from the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, and they arrested him and his wife.

Crime Guard gathered that during interrogation, Sunday confessed to taking part in the kidnap of his boss. He told his interrogators that he was the gang’s contact man in the company and that he supplied them with all the information they needed in carrying out the operation. A police source at FSARS who took part in the investigation intimated Crime Guard that Sunday also disclosed the names of all other suspects who took part in the kidnapping including his friend, Essong.

“After their arrest, we charged the case to court and Sunday and his wife were remanded in prison custody. The case was referred to the Department of Public Prosecution, DPP, for advice.   But while we were waiting for the DPP’s advice, we got information that Sunday and his wife were granted bail by a State High Court without our knowledge.

The court didn’t serve us any notice to appear before it during the bail hearing in order to conform to the due process of law. We couldn’t do any thing because the bail was from a competent court that has jurisdiction over such case,” the source lamented.

However, Crime Guard learnt that few days after they regained their freedom, Sunday and his wife parked out of their Oremeji, Oshodi residence and moved to Matogun road, Lambe, Ogun State, where they ventured into full time kidnapping using their new apartment as a hideout.

Meanwhile, a prison inmate with Sunday at the Ikoyi Prison where he was remanded assisted him in forming a new gang. The inmate identified as Emma gave him the phone number of one Joseph who provided him with a gun and he also recruited two persons identified as Chief and Daniel.

The new gang went on a search for victims, and they stormed Ago-Okota area in Lagos State where they kidnapped a man they saw with a flashy car in front of a gate. They took the man to their hideout, chained him and contacted his relatives demanding a ransom of N50million, but they ran out of luck as the middle-aged man managed to remove the chains from his legs and escaped from the hideout.  Sensing trouble, Sunday, his wife and other members of the gang took to their heels because they expected that policemen will  storm their residence.

A police source at the state Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, Ikeja, who took part in the manhunt for the suspects also told Crime Guard that; “Shortly after their victim was kidnapped, the family contacted the police who kept tab on the kidnappers. Luckily, he was able to untie the leg chain and escaped. We then kept tab on the house but we did not move in. Hoping that the police or the family was not ready to pursue the case, the suspect returned to their hideout and we arrested them.”

When Crime Guard interviewed the suspects, Sunday and his wife, they said they secured their bail after paying N500,000 to a lawyer who contacted them at the prison.   They also said they went back to kidnapping because they could not find a good job to secure a living and all efforts to progress in life failed.

In his words; “ I am a mechanic and for years, I have struggled to make progress. Last year, my friend, Idom Essong visited my office and suggested that I should help him select anyone that can be kidnapped in my office. He told me that it was one easiest thing to do, and I agreed and pointed at one of the senior managers who I knew can afford to pay a huge ransom. I gave them all the details they needed to execute the plan.

“They collected N36million from the family and gave me N1million as my share of the deal. I quickly bought a bus and a jeep. I continued working in that office until the day police came and arrested me.I don’t know how they got the information. I was arrested by Federal SARS and later, charged to court with my wife as my accomplice. I was remanded in Ikoyi for 8 months before I was released.”

Narrating how he was released, Sunday said he was introduced to a lawyer whom he identified as Ajanaku. “I paid him N500,000 and he filed a motion for bail and I was granted bail. He asked me to go home as he would call me if there is any need to come to court. Till date, he has not called me.

Shortly after my release, I decided to relocate to a new place since the whole world knew that I was arrested for kidnapping. I relocated to 42, Matoku Lambee in Ogun state . It became difficult for me to make a living so, I decided to start a family business since we have a house. I called a friend that I met in the prison, Emma who had contact on where to get arms. He linked me up to one Joseph who promised to get a gun on the condition that he would be involved in the deal. I later contacted my friends called Chief and Daniel.

“Three weeks ago, we arranged to lurk around Okota . Luckily, at about 10pm, we saw a man in a flashy car driving home. We immediately followed him and as soon as he drove in, we went after him and over powered him. Still with his car, we drove to my apartment at Ogun State.  To ensure that he does not recognize where he was, we blindfolded him.

At home, we chained him in one of the rooms and contacted his family. We demanded for N50million. We went to bed and was shocked to find the room empty in the morning. We immediately ran away because it was obvious that police would soon storm the area.  Two weeks later when I discovered that no one had come to raid the house, I came back with my wife to pick my things and the police arrested us.

The wife Eno,25, speaks
Eno said life had been hard ever since they got married. One day her husband came back and told her of his plan and she vehemently kicked against it. “He convinced me that it would be safe, so as a loving wife, I gave him my blessing. Luckily, at the end of everything, he was paid N1m and he gave some to me to start a shop.

He continued his job till one day police arrested us. They said I was an accomplice. Luckily, 8 months later, we were granted bail. He still went back to the same business and convinced me that it was now a family business. As a loving wife I could not stop my husband.  On the day of the kidnap, I warned him severally. When I discovered that they were asleep, I opened the door and went back. I did that because I wanted to help the man escape from that place. I thank God that he did,”she stated.

13 School Girls Pregnant, 50% Students Infected With Virus In Just One School

Lifestyle at the school has turned out to be even worse than that of Sodom and Gomorrah. It has also emerged that 13 girls are currently pregnant.

Reports also claim that over half of students at this school are living with the virus that is transmitted through sex. The school that has grabbed the frightening headlines happens to be How Mine Secondary School.

Sources said the pregnant girls are in Forms One to Three at the school. Sources further alleged that most of the girls have been impregnated by the Mine workers. A reliable source who works at How Mine claims that their fellow workmates are madly in love with young school girls.

Parents of the pupils who learn at the school are said to have become suspicious after noticing that their children are always putting on jerseys despite the warm weather that is currently prevailing. The parents reportedly requested for a meeting at the school where they agreed that the students should be taken for blood tests.

This publication heard that on 19 October all the girls at the school got tested and that is when all hell broke loose! The Chairman of the School Development Committee (SDC), Mr Momore Makado confirmed the reports.

“We had a meeting with the parents last month where we deliberated on pregnant girls at the school. We agreed that the girls should be tested so that we could ascertain whether they are not ill or pregnant. We got shocked upon realising that 13 girls were pregnant. The pregnant girls are in Form One to Three,” said the SDC chairman.

He added: “What baffles the most is that there are parents who do not see value in education. We heard that some of the girls are being forced to get married by their parents.”

It was further heard that there is a mine worker (name withheld) who allegedly impregnated a Form 2 girl. A How Mine compound resident who only identified himself as Baba Farai said what is taking place at How Mine is so embarrassing.

“This area has corrupted the new generation. At any given time elderly men will be getting intimate with young girls. Age is no longer a factor to consider. You will find a married man falling in love with a school girl and no one will ever be bothered. Even elderly women are not left out. You will find these women convincing young boys to have sex with them, just for the sake of having sex,” said Baba Farai.

Another woman who spoke to our news crew on condition of anonymity said the rapid spreading of the virus is caused by not giving school children condoms. “It’s high time they (authorities) offer people condoms. Even school children should also be given these condoms so that they don’t fall pregnant,” she said.

When reached for comment, the Headmaster of How Mine Secondary School said he doesn’t know anything about these claims since he has been at the school for less than three months. “I’m still new here. I joined this school this term so I don’t know much about what you are saying,” said Headmaster Nkosikazi Siziba.

Police officer’s wife cooking for robbers in Zamfara – AIG

Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of zone 10, comprising Sokoto,Kebbi and Zamfara States, Alhaji M. J. Abubakar, has ordered the redeployment of all police officers in Dansadau emirate within seven days, saying a police officer’s wife was cooking for the robbers in the forest.

Abubakar, who gave the order while on a familiarization tour of the command, said he had earlier mobilized men to go and arrest the police officer’s wife, but that some bad eggs among the policemen tipped the woman off and she escaped.

“We mobilized our men to go and arrest that woman so that useful information can be tapped from her, but the devils among us revealed our plans to her and she fled thereby undermining our operational abilities,’’ he said.

He warned against such acts, saying anyone found wanting would be dealt with according to the law.

“Let me tell you that the attacks being launched on police formations in this country succeed because dangerous and corrupt elements among us tell these attackers and politicians about our operational abilities,’’ he said.

He said the insecurity situation in the state can only be overcome politically, adding, “Even if you bring all the police helicopters and troops here, it will not solve the problem. If we want to bring the menace to an end, we must seek political solution.

“There is politics in that issue because you cannot expect a vigilante group formed by a typical Hausa community to go and start killing Fulani herdsmen roasting their cows to eat and calling them robbers. That is why we have started making moves to solve the problem, already, we have summoned all the stake holders in this matter’’.

World’s ‘poorest’ president donates 90% salary to poor, shuns presidential mansion and Rides 1987 Volkswagen

It’s a common grumble that politicians’ lifestyles are far removed from those of their electorate. Not so in Uruguay. Meet the president – who lives on a ramshackle farm and gives away most of his pay.

Laundry is strung outside the house. The water comes from a well in a yard, overgrown with weeds. Only two police officers and Manuela, a three-legged dog, keep watch outside.

This is the residence of the president of Uruguay, Jose Mujica, whose lifestyle clearly differs sharply from that of most other world leaders.

President Mujica has shunned the luxurious house that the Uruguayan state provides for its leaders and opted to stay at his wife’s farmhouse, off a dirt road outside the capital, Montevideo.

The president and his wife work the land themselves, growing flowers.
This austere lifestyle – and the fact that Mujica donates about 90% of his monthly salary, equivalent to $12,000 (£7,500), to charity – has led him to be labelled the poorest president in the world.
“I may appear to be an eccentric old man … But this is a free choice.”

“I’ve lived like this most of my life,” he says, sitting on an old chair in his garden, using a cushion favoured by Manuela the dog.

“I can live well with what I have.”
His charitable donations – which benefit poor people and small entrepreneurs – mean his salary is roughly in line with the average Uruguayan income of $775 (£485) a month.
All the president’s wealth is a 1987 VW Beetle.

In 2010, his annual personal wealth declaration – mandatory for officials in Uruguay – was $1,800 (£1,100), the value of his 1987 Volkswagen Beetle.

This year, he added half of his wife’s assets – land, tractors and a house – reaching $215,000 (£135,000).
That’s still only about two-thirds of Vice-President Danilo Astori’s declared wealth, and a third of the figure declared by Mujica’s predecessor as president, Tabare Vasquez.

Elected in 2009, Mujica spent the 1960s and 1970s as part of the Uruguayan guerrilla Tupamaros, a leftist armed group inspired by the Cuban revolution.

He was shot six times and spent 14 years in jail. Most of his detention was spent in harsh conditions and isolation, until he was freed in 1985 when Uruguay returned to democracy.
Those years in jail, Mujica says, helped shape his outlook on life.

“I’m called ‘the poorest president’, but I don’t feel poor. Poor people are those who only work to try to keep an expensive lifestyle, and always want more and more,” he says.

“This is a matter of freedom. If you don’t have many possessions then you don’t need to work all your life like a slave to sustain them, and therefore you have more time for yourself,” he says.
“I may appear to be an eccentric old man. But this is a free choice.”

The Uruguayan leader made a similar point when he addressed the Rio+20 summit in June this year: “We’ve been talking all afternoon about sustainable development. To get the masses out of poverty.

“But what are we thinking? Do we want the model of development and consumption of the rich countries? I ask you now: what would happen to this planet if Indians would have the same proportion of cars per household than Germans? How much oxygen would we have left?

“Does this planet have enough resources so seven or eight billion can have the same level of consumption and waste that today is seen in rich societies? It is this level of hyper-consumption that is harming our planet.”

Woman,40 Cuts Off Rapist’s Manhood (PHOTO)

Monju Begum, a 40-year-old Bangladesh woman stopped an alleged rapist in his tracks when she reportedly cut off his penis and then took it to police as evidence.

According to police, Begam’s neighbor, Mozammel Haq Mazi, forced his way into her shanty and began sexually assaulting her.

Investigators say Begum stopped the attack by cutting off his penis She then placed the evidence into a polythene bag and took it into police as proof that Mazi had attempted to rape her.

Begum, a married mother of three, told police that Mazi had been harassing her for the past six months. Mazi is reportedly also married and has five children.

“It is quite an unusual incident. As far as I am aware, this is the first time that a woman has brought a severed penis to the police station as evidence,” said police spokesperson Abul Khaer.

“We will arrest him once his condition gets better,” said Khaer.

Mazi denied the allegations telling investigators that the two were having an affair.

“Recently she suggested that both of us can go settle down in Dhaka,” said Mazi. “I refused and told her that I cannot leave my wife and children, so she took revenge on me.”

Tinubu ejects LGA from headquarters, takes over prime property

Below is how TheWillNigeria is reporting it:
Former Lagos State Governor and leader of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has taken over a prime property that was once the headquarters of Ikoyi-Obalande Local Government Development Area and relocated the local government secretariat to Obalende, a district in the commercial city of Lagos.
The huge and strategic parcel of land located at the junction of Alfred Rewane Road (Kingsway Road) and Glover Road in highbrow Ikoyi has been demolished to make way for prime construction believed to be blocks of serviced luxury flats.

The acquisition of the property is coming on the heels of the ACN’s defeat in the local government chairmanship election for Ikoyi-Obalende Local Council Development Area by the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) candidate, Mr. Ibrahim Babatunde Obanikoro.

The politician has also cornered the contract to reconstruct Glover Road using a proxy company P.W. Nigeria Limited.

Though THEWILL has not been able to get details of the transaction, several sources say the politician is recklessly acquiring properties in prime locations across the state with the assistance of current Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN).

Tinubu’s acquisitions since he left office cuts across real estate, media and aviation. His company AlphaBeta Consulting collects all Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) for Lagos State and some ACN controlled states. It gets to keep a sizeable chunk for itself. AlphaBeta is believed to rake in as much as N7 billion naira monthly as commission for its work.

The politician is also believed to own FirstNation Airlines, The Nation Newspaper, stakes in Oriental Hotel Victoria Island, Renaissance Hotel Ikeja, Eko Hotel Lagos, and the yet to be completed InterContinental Hotel located along Kofo Abayomi Street, near the popular Mega Plaza in Victoria Island. Tinubu also owns TV Continental (TVC) and Radio Continental.

The former Governor who was engulfed in a University certificate scandal during his tenure as Governor, also owns a huge shopping mall complex in Alausa, Ikeja, popularly called Shoprite by its mainland patrons.

THEWILL gathered that the shopping complex was constructed on a large parcel of land believed to have been hijacked from the Lagos State Government.

In a similar gestapo-style move, the governor also bullied Lagosians and acquired the Lekki-Epe highway, reconstructed and tolled the road under a highly controversial agreement.

My Pastor Raped Me, Now My Fiancé Won't Marry Me

I am a 26 year old saved Christian and i was set to wed the love of my life in December. I am afraid I will not get married to him because my pastor has impregnated me.

I go to a church in Umoja area and my pastor convinced me that I needed prayer sessions before I walked down the aisle. I believed him since he is the man of God and started going for the sessions.

Every time I went for the sessions my pastor who is a renowned televangelist acted in a strange manner like touching me inappropriately I dismissed it all and forgave him.

During one session my pastor grabbed me and raped me at the church podium severely before he threw me out in the dark. I could not go to hospital because I feared what people would say knowing am engaged.

I just found out that am expectant and do not know what to do. Abortion is a crime thus cannot do it and if my fiancé finds out he will definitely leave me. Please help, I do not know who else to ask for advice.

‘Good Samaritan’ Leads Unconscious Drunk Woman To Her House..Then Molests Her

These pictures show the chilling moment a sexual predator posed as a ‘Good Samaritan’ to help a drunken woman before taking her home and raping her.

Ebrima Dampha, 33, was caught on CCTV as he pounced on his vulnerable victim when she passed out in a bar at four times the drink drive limit.

The woman, who is in her thirties, was barely able to walk or talk as Dampha, a chef from Havant in Hampshire, dragged her outside to a taxi, intent on raping her.
Vulnerable: The victim is led to a taxi by Dampha, who pretended to help the woman but took her back to her home and raped her

He rifled through her handbag to find her address in the car and even acted as her saviour on their journey back to her house, a court heard.

But when they arrived he took money from her purse to pay the fare, waved the cab away and led her upstairs to attack her in her own house.

There, he raped her as she lay unconscious and ‘completely helpless’.
The victim – who cannot be named for legal reasons – had gone out for a meal with a friend ‘for a good old catch up.’

They went on to the Roast Bar in Portsmouth, Hampshire, where she was targeted by Dampha, a father-of-three with a history of domestic violence.

When she woke up the morning after the assault, Dampha had gone and she realised she had been raped.
Sexual predator: Dampha, 33, was jailed for eight years for rape at Portsmouth Crown Court

However, she had no recollection of where she had been.
A small red ‘R’ stamped on her hand told police she had visited the Roast Bar and they were able to retrieve CCTV recordings from the venue.

It showed Dampha leading his victim outside and into a taxi at 2.45am.
He was arrested and admitted having sex with the woman but insisted it was consensual.
The woman, from Portsmouth, said: ‘I have been through hell because I still don’t exactly know what happened. I’ve got no recollection.

‘My friend and I hadn’t planned to stay out that late and were having a good old catch up.
‘What happened that night is always going to be with me and I don’t know how to move on.
‘But I do have an overwhelming sense of relief that people did believe what had happened.
‘If you go out and you’re a bit drunk it doesn’t give someone the right to take advantage of you.
‘Some people say if you’re drunk you’re asking for it but you’re not.’

Before the trial, the victim would wake up every night – at the same time she was attacked.
She gave her evidence from behind a screen, at times breaking down in tears. To this day, she has not come face-to-face with her attacker again.

She said: ‘Seeing him again would be too traumatic. I went to court just to stop this from happening to someone else.

’If I hadn’t reported it and later found out he had done it to someone else I don’t know how I would have felt.’

She added: ‘I don’t go out like I used to. I just go to friends’ houses now.
‘I don’t think I will ever go to that area of town again because seeing the Roast Bar would freak me out.
‘It comes down to being sensible about what you’re drinking, although sometimes you don’t feel it and it hits you at once.

‘If you’re out with friends and one suddenly appears quite drunk, look after them and make sure they get home safely. Look after each other.’

This case highlights the dangers of drinking alcohol to excess and his sentence sends a clear message to anyone who preys upon vulnerable and defenceless victims.

Husband Catches Wife Having Séx With 16-Year-Old Student

A suspicious husband used the GPS capability on his wife’s cellphone to find the 38-year-old teacher having séx with a 16-year-old boy.
Amie Neely now faces a felony séxual assault charge after being arrested by Port St. Lucie, Fla. police early Sunday morning, according to TC Palm.
WPBF reports that the boy was an exchange student living with Neely and her husband at the time of the alleged assault. There is also another exchange student still taking up residence there, according to the station.
There is no indication that Neely, who teaches at Community Christian Academy, ever taught the student she's accused of assaulting.
Amie Neely
The boy told cops he drove Neely to an area near St. Lucie West Centennial High School. He said he got in the back seat with Neely and, as the two were having séx, the teacher's husband walked up to the car and discovered them.
Neely allegedly blamed "midlife crisis" feelings for her behavior when questioned by police, according to TC Palm. She also said the boy kept asking for séx and she hoped he would stop asking if she went along with his requests, according to police. The boy told cops he and Neely had séx on multiple occasions, including inside the teacher's home.
Community Christian Academy told WPBF they are cooperating with authorities and have no further comment at this time.
