Ajimobi’s Wife Returns To Nigeria, Denies London Police’s Arrest

Mrs Florence Ajimobi, wife of Oyo State governor, on Wednesday returned to the country, dousing speculations about her arrest by the London Metropolitan Police over  alleged money laundering.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the unaccompanied Oyo State first lady arrived at the International Wing of the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Ikeja, at 6.45 a.m. aboard a Virgin Atlantic Airline.
She was received at the airport by her personal aides and security men.

Ajimobi told newsmen:“ I am here live as you can see, I have never had any encounter with the London Metropolitan Police and I know I will never have.

“This has shown the true test of any human being’s ability to stand firm in times of crisis and controversy.
“My arrest is just a rumour and I think the time has come for us in Nigeria to stop playing dirty politics”.
NAN also reports that a Lagos evening newspaper had on Tuesday reported that Gov. Ajimobi’s wife was arrested by Metropolitan Police for allegedly being in possession of 400,000 pounds (N100 million).
The governor addressed newsmen late on Tuesday in Ibadan to debunk the rumour and announced that a N1 billion suit had been slammed on the newspaper.

On her arrival, the Oyo State first lady attributed the report to the handiwork of those she called mischief makers.

“It is an attempt to tarnish my reputation which I have kept in my over 30 years of marriage. It is the price I have to pay as the wife of a politician.

“It is laughable; I only travelled last Sunday to London to accompany my child, who returned to a secondary school there.

“I stand on the solid rock of Jesus Christ and all other grounds are sinking sand. This is a passing phase and it will pass over.

“I went on an official visit to Taiwan with my husband and we did not go to London from Lagos as reported. We went to Dubai, Honk Kong, Taipei, Dubai and back to Lagos,’’Ajimobi said.

She, however, advised journalists to always cross-check information at their disposal before publishing.
“The media should be very objective in giving out information to the public so as not to mislead the people.’’ (NAN)

Lover kicks Bisi Ibidapo Obe out of duplex, collects Range Rover

Paternity mess update:

It is surely not the best of times for star actress, Bisi Ibidapo Obe. The actress who is wallowing in deep mess over her controversial pregnancy, has relocated to Ghana where she's said to be hibernating pending delivery of her baby.
According to an industry source, the actress decided to move out of Nigeria some days back after her UK based lover, Lopez, who is said to be footing the bill of her Magodo Lagos duplex, breezed into the country and kicked her out of the house. He was said to have taken the decision after it became obvious that he was not responsible for Bisi's pregnancy. (Though a close friend of the actress denied the house was locked by Lopez but confirmed Bisi went to Ghana)

Lock him down: 7 ways to stop your man from ever straying

You won’t be able to move forward in your relationship unless you free yourself from that moment. Let it go.
When a woman finds out her lover is cheating, it’s devastating. It can leave you in a deep depression and could possibly lead to substance abuse. It’s hard to accept because the new finding is so abrupt and comes so suddenly. You begin to call the other woman a slut, trash and even blame her for the infidelity.
When my husband began his cheating ways, I blamed it on everything but me. I remember when I found out who the ‘slut’ was. I was hurt and devastated mostly by how she look. I felt she didn’t look better than me, she wasn’t educated like me and most of all she was ugly… at least to me. I thought over and over “Why she?’, ‘Why did he cheated on me with her?’.
I vowed to get back and my journey began. I found myself returning to the old things I use to do. I went to the nail shop, I went to the hair dresser and I changed my wardrobe. I then realized that maybe because I neglected these things before, my lover looked at another woman who didn’t neglect her appearance. The other woman was actually nice looking and I felt like she was the totally opposite of me. I guess I assumed he’d understand that I didn’t get my hair fixed because I was at home cooking and cleaning for HIM all day. But, though I did all these things, my man was still messing around. I would be at home dressed up, calling him on the phone, cursing him out about not being home.
One day his phone ranged and I answered it. The person said nothing as I continued to say hello. Then the phone hung up. I called the number back and the saga began. She told me basically everything I wanted to know and some that I didn’t want to hear. As she pierced my heart with all the times my man was with her and all the things he bought her, my mind began to travel back. I thought back to the times when I thought I heard him talking on the phone in the other room. I later found out he would be on the phone for hours with her and sometimes I was with him. Everything quickly began to add up and answers filled the suspicions.
When we would argue I begun to listen to what he said instead of defend myself against everything he said. When he said I fussed to much, he was tired of me nagging, I stopped fussing and nagging him. I stopped calling the other woman and cursing her out all day. I began calling him asking him what he wanted for dinner. I stopped letting the other woman take control of my entire day.
The biggest part was forgiving him for cheating and letting it go. You will always think about the times he cheated and you will always feel like you never deserved it. You can allow your mind and all your energy to constantly return to that devastating time over and over until you find yourself stuck right there. You won’t be able to move forward in your relationship unless you free yourself from that moment. Let it go.
I realized I had to joggle my many roles in life. I’m a mother, sister, lover, daughter and aunt. I put all these roles in their proper place. When I deal with my man, I’m his lover and friend, I don’t need to be in the mother mode. I bought some sexy underwear, sweet smelling perfume, and I got a manicure. I started wearing sexy appealing clothes that kept my man watching me. I made breakfast every morning and I fixed dishes that had him licking the plate. It wasn’t long before my man was home every night and the other woman was a thing of the past.
Top 7 ways to stop your man from cheating:
1. Stop nagging and fussing about everything. It’s not what you say, it’s how you say it. If you want your husband to fix something around the house, ask him in a nice way while you are scratching his head.
2. Fix him breakfast and dinner. Cook his favorite meals and create new dishes with his favorite foods.
3. Leave the past in the past. Don’t constantly bring his mistakes, his past mistakes and old flings in the present. Leave the old stuff in the past, let it go.
4. Keep yourself up. Brush your teeth, keep your breath smelling fresh, bathe in perfumes or good smelling soap. Comb your hair and keep it looking good daily. Keep your nails and toes manicured. eyebrows arched, lips and face crust free. If he loves you it doesn’t matter if your booty is flat, he still want you to wear those hip huggers jeans. He knows exactly how you are shaped and he wants you anyway. So get your sexy on ok. He’s waiting.
5. Listen To Your Man. You may think that what he has to say is silly but this is the part you really need to listen to. Men don’t explain themselves to often so it’s very important to listen he speaks. From that great speech you learn your man and what he wants. Remember that a man is the king of his castle and he wants to be treated that way.
6. Respect Your Man. Many times and most of the times we are usually right. At times in a relationship being right or wrong is second to respect. You should respect your man at all times and sometimes that mean shutting up and not telling him what you really want to.
7. Be nice and respectful to his mother. Mother-in-laws can be a handful but don’t forget she’s still his mother. The Bible says to honor your mother and father. No matter what he says his mother did to him and what she didn’t do for him is not your issues. He’s telling your his issues because you are his friend and he should be able to tell you everything. He’s not telling you this to take up a fight with his mother. He will always love her regardless and he’ll never forget anything bad you said about her.

MUST READ!!! Jesus Christ May Not Have Died on Cross

Do you believe??..Please read on and drop your comments on what you feel...

For 2,000 years the crucifix has been a potent symbol of both Jesus Christ's death and Christianity. Now one Swedish theologian says that despite the crucifix's proliferation in art and literature, there is scant evidence in the Bible or other ancient sources to indicate that Christ was killed on a cross.

Gunnar Samuelsson, an evangelical preacher and theologian, says he spent three years combing thousands of ancient texts to research his recently completed 400-page doctoral thesis "Crucifixion in Antiquity."

What he discovered, he said, "came as a shock." While there were numerous references to "suspension devices" used for executions at the time of Christ's death, he could find no explicit references to the classic T-shaped cross.

"There is no distinct punishment called 'crucifixion,' no distinct punishment device called a 'crucifix' anywhere mentioned in any of the ancient texts including the Gospels," he told ABCNews.com.

Samuelsson devoutly believes the story of Jesus' death and resurrection, but says for generations people have misinterpreted and mistranslated the Greek word "stauros" to mean crucifix, when really the term just means a suspension device, which might have been anything such as a "pole or a tree trunk." The earliest versions of the New Testament were written in Greek.

"If you chose to just read the text and ignore the art and theology, there is quite a small amount of information about the crucifixion. Jesus, the Bible says, carried something called a stauros out to Calvary. Everyone thought it meant cross, but it does not only mean cross. We cannot say every instance of this noun, stauros refers to a cross," Samuelsson said.

Suspension devices, basically tall polls or pikes, were routinely used in the ancient world, by the Romans and their contemporaries, both as execution devices and for displaying the bodies of executed criminals and enemies as a public warning.

Part of what tipped Samuelson off to the apparent mistranslation, were routine references to things like fruits and dead animals being "crucified" in ancient texts, when translating the word as "suspended" makes more sense.

For Samuelsson, a 44-year-old pastor who is completing his research at the University of Gothenburg, his faith leads him to believe in the tradition that Jesus was suspended on a cross.

However, he says, "We don't know how those wicked people next to him on the right and on the left, were executed. Or what the devices looked like for people the day before or the day after."

"I am not saying no 'crucifixions' took place I the ancient world. But we cannot find evidence of them in the ancient texts," he added.

Given that the Romans were careful record keepers who wrote detailed and gruesome histories about their military conquests and lengthy legal treatises, it is strange that they would not have written plainly about their execution methods, he explained.

Samuelson says the idea of suspension devices would have been understood in the ancient world and by the contemporaries of Jesus.

"If you were walking around Galilee and heard Jesus say he will be suspended in days. People would have an understanding of the kind of torture involved."

While the Gospels mention Jesus' suspension, none specify a cross, according to Samuelson. Furthermore, the passion is described differently in different Gospels and has been depicted in various ways throughout history.

"In the movie the 'Passion of Christ,' Jesus carries the whole cross on his back. In some scholarly works, he just carries the cross beam. Nails are not mentioned before the passion and only mentioned in one book after he is executed," he said.

Samuelson said he never expected the international reaction his thesis has already received. He originally printed just 200 copies that he thought would be read by family and friends. He said he hoped scholars would be intrigued by his work, but has been surprised by the worldwide attention.

"I'm just another boring pastor. I think Jesus is the son of God. I read the New Testament every day. I'm filled with the Holy Spirit. I keep telling people, this does not mean we have to tear down the crosses in all the churches."

Ajimobi sues PM News, NewsLeak for N1 billion over report on wife

The Oyo State Governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, has sued the Independent Communications Network Limited, publishers of PM News for the sum of N1 billion.
This was disclosed in a release issued by Festus Adedayo, the governor’s Special Adviser on Media.

The evening newspaper had on Tuesday published a piece entitled ‘Anxiety over Florence Ajimobi’s alleged arrest in UK’ , wherein it published a story purportedly written by an online agency named Newsleak, which alleged that the wife of the governor had been arrested in London for money laundering.

According to the release, the government of Oyo State had the responsibility to ensure that the media does not become an instrument in the hands of blackmailers for such acts.

“We want to state unequivocally that this report is not only wicked, it is the figment of the imagination of the writers. Mrs. Ajimobi was never arrested for any offence whatsoever. Even though our investigations have shown that this is the work of some arrowheads of the opposition, it was done in such an amateurish way that beats the imagination of any responsible reader,” the release said.

The government said that though it had a lot of respect for the media, there was the need to drag the runners of these media to court to explain the details of their reports to the rest of the world.

The government decried what it called dirty politicking by the opposition in the state who use the media for the propagation of their falsehood, stating that the courts would be able to compel those behind this wicked lie to provide details of the veracity or otherwise of their claims on the governor’s wife.

Woman Raped Twice In One Night By Two Different Men

A woman who was dragged into an alleyway and raped after a night out was subjected to a second horrifying ordeal by another man as she lay recovering from the attack.

Mustafa Yussuf was the first to prey on the woman as she walked through Manchester city centre on New year’s Eve, marching her into Church Street car park and raping her in a nearby lane.

After the assault the then 20-year-old fled the scene, leaving the woman helpless.

It was then that, instead of assisting her, another man pounced on the woman and raped her.

The distressing details of the double rape emerged as Yussuf, now 21, from Manchester, was jailed for seven years for the attack.

He claimed to have had a consensual encounter with the woman but denied rape.
But a jury at Manchester Crown Court trial rejected his account and found him guilty.

Judge Martin Steiger QC, sentencing, said he ‘hadn’t the slightest doubt’ that Yussuf was ‘perfectly aware’ the woman was too drunk to consent to any activity.

The court heard that the ‘mature’ woman had drunk to excess because of relationship problems, with CCTV showing she was unable to stand.

She was refused re-entry to the nightclub when she asked to be allowed in to search for her lost handbag.

In the aftermath of the double-rape attack she needed strangers’ help to get home and she was unable to remember what had happened to her for two hours.

Zoe Nield, defending, said: ‘This offence does appear to be an isolated incident – it was out of character for this defendant.’

The victim told court that her life had been shattered by the attack and had been isolated by a fear of going out.

Judge Steiger said: ‘At some point in the course of her ordeal she was raped by another individual.

‘There was never any charge laid against this defendant [Yussuf] for being party to that incident, which the complainant found in many ways the most traumatic feature of her ordeal.’

Another man was arrested for the second rape but released without charge.

Oyo's First Lady was not arrested - London Metropolitan Police

News filtered in today that Oyo First Lady, Mrs Florence Ajumobi was arrested yesterday by London's Metropolitan police in the UK for being in possession of £400, 000 (N500 million). 22 year old domestic worker found dead in his boss' swimming pool

22 year old Onyeka Kingley Raphael (pictured above) was found dead in the bottom of a swimming pool in the home he worked as a domestic help. His body was removed early Saturday morning from a house on Babatunde Asimi Street, Ogudu GRA.
His family, suspecting foul play, has petitioned the police, asking for a thorough investigation because when Kingsley's body was removed by policemen from Ogudu police station, eye witnesses said there were no visible injuries on his body except a twisted neck, suggesting that the domestic worker may have been strangled before being dumped in the pool.

What the family also found odd was that the dinner Kingsley made for himself the night before was still on the kitchen table, with his cap near it, and also the fact that the security man who was home at the time of the incident said he didn't see or hear anything. The family also claimed that Kingsley and his boss, a retired accountant named Tunde Williams had a misunderstand a month earlier which almost got Kingsley fired. Kingsley had wanted to leave his job but his elder had begged him to stay because he needed the money for school.
The police promised Kingley's family that an autopsy will be carried out to determine the exact cause of death and told reporters that a thorough investigation will be carried out. The police also mentioned that Mr Williams was so far 'not cooperating with the police

New York City looks like the set of a disaster movie this morning after a night of being battered by Superstorm Sandy.

It hit the mainland at 6.30pm local time last night having laid waste to large parts of the coast during the day. The US city shut its mass transit system, schools, the stock exchange and Broadway, and ordered hundreds of thousands of New Yorkers to leave home to get out of the way as Sandy zeroed in.

A 13ft wall of water caused by the storm surge and high tides resulted in severe flooding to subways and road tunnels. Torrents of water poured into building works at Ground Zero, cars were swept down streets and power was cut across lower Manhattan in a bid to minimise damage to infrastructure.

Superstorm Sandy knocked out power to at least 6.2million people across the US East, and large sections of Manhattan were plunged into darkness by the storm, with 250,000 customers without power as water pressed into the island from three sides, flooding rail yards, subway tracks, tunnels and roads.

New York City's 911 dispatchers were receiving 20,000 calls per hour. An extraordinary 24 hours saw what was originally classed as a hurricane close in and converge with a cold-weather system that turned it into a superstorm - a monstrous hybrid consisting not only of rain and high wind, but also snow.

Sandy smacked the boarded-up big cities of the Northeast corridor, from Washington and Baltimore to Philadelphia, New York and Boston, with stinging rain and gusts of 85mph. Sixteen deaths were reported in New Jersey, New York, Maryland, North Carolina, West Virginia, Pennsylvania and Connecticut.

But she said: 'I saw this as a business. I have the opportunity to travel, to be part of a movie and get a bonus with it.

Natsu will be tested for sexually transmitted diseases prior to the encounter.

Catarina previously said she wanted to plough the money, $20,000 and 90 per cent of the final auction sale price, into a non-governmental organization which will construct modern houses in her southern home state of Santa Catarina.
