Man kills mum, dismembers and scatters her body parts in garbage bags across town

A schizophrenic South Bronx man confessed Tuesday to dismembering his mom and scattering her body parts in garbage bags across the South Bronx, police sources said.

Deranged suspect Bashid McLean, 23 (pictured right), implicated himself in the gruesome death after investigators recovered a saw inside the apartment where he lived with victim Tanya Byrd (pictured right) and his 7-year-old brother, Nasyr.

Cops also found a shopping cart used to lug 52-year-old Byrd’s severed body parts from their home to four locations within walking distance of the murder scene, police sources said.

Byrd was terrified by McLean, who was on probation after coming at two cops with a knife in 2010, and suspected that he was battering little Nasyr. The younger brother has Down syndrome, according to one neighbor.

"I wouldn’t be at all surprised if Bashid killed her,” said a 43-year-old woman who lives in the building on Westchester Ave. in Melrose. “She was afraid of that boy. . .He was a hellion.”

When bruises began appearing on the special-needs child, Byrd suspected her older son, the neighbor said.

“Bashid had a problem controlling his rage,” said the neighbor. “He had creepy eyes. Didn’t like to look you in the eye — but when he did, they went right through you.”

Although McLean called police to report his mom was missing, he quickly emerged as a suspect in the gruesome killing, police sources said. Cops were questioning him at the 40th Precinct stationhouse late Tuesday.

McLean’s sister, Porsche Lovett, who visited him at the stationhouse, said he showed no remorse. “He looked me in the eyes and told me he did nothing wrong when he killed her,” she said. “I don’t know who he is.'Byrd’s body parts were stuffed in garbage bags and scattered throughout her neighborhood, with a dog walker spying her right leg protruding from a pile of garbage around 5 a.m., police said.

Three heavy-duty plastic garbage bags stuffed with body parts were found nearby.

The victim’s head, hands, torso, legs and shoulder were pulled from the trash bags, the sources said.
The brutal killing left McLean’s family members reeling — despite Bashid’s history of aggression and mental health problems.
“He did destructive things,” said his father, James McLean. “He set fires; nobody could control him. ”
The dead woman’s sister said Bashid nursed a grudge against Byrd over his placement in foster care while his mom battled a drug problem. They reunited when he turned 18.
“I want people to know my sister was a good mother,” said Cassandra McLean. “She always took care of him.

The family of Facebook murder victim Katie Wynter have spoken of their “living hell” – to warn about the dangers of social networking sites.

Katie, a talented young art student, was duped into dating twisted loner Tony Bushby after he created FOUR fake Facebook profiles.His phony friends all got to know the shy, church-going 19-year-old online and the messages he sent pretending to be them persuaded her to trust and like him.

Chillingly, at the same time, karate teacher Bushby was also watching violent “submissive black girl” porn and rape websites — and Googling murder methods for burying a body.

Six months after he convinced her to go out with him, Bushby killed Katie, stabbing her 23 times in a frenzied knife attack while she babysat her young nephew and niece — then tried to pin it on one of his fake Facebook friends.

Her grief-stricken mum Joy Briscoe warns: “Facebook is a dangerous thing, especially for young girls. As a parent, you don’t know what your child is getting up to.

“I wish I’d kept a closer watch on her. You just expect your kids to be safe in your own home.”

It is a year since Katie’s funeral, but for support worker Joy, 57, and her elder daughter Sabrina, 31, their pain is still raw.

The brutal murder took place in Sabrina’s home in Borehamwood, Herts, where Katie was staying overnight to babysit her niece and nephew, then aged four and five.

Joy went round to check all was OK and walked into a bloodbath.

She says: “I could hear the children chattering. I called out their names and they ran to the door.

“They were shouting, ‘Grandma, Katie’s dead’. My heart dropped into my stomach.

“Then I saw bloody footprints and, poking out from under the door frame, were Katie’s feet.

“I ran into the kitchen and was confronted by something like out of a horror film — my little girl, covered in blood. I tried to lift her but she was already cold and stiff.”

As police arrived Joy called Sabrina to break the terrible news. Sabrina, who has asked that her children are not named, says: “They still talk about it. It hurts so much to think of them carrying this image of their auntie in their heads. My daughter still draws pictures of Katie covered in red.

“I hope the memories of what they saw will fade one day — they remember it so vividly.”

Katie had met Bushby, 19, at West Hertfordshire College in Watford, but their relationship developed online. He was in the year above and considered an outsider. After he had gained her trust through his Facebook lies, they started secretly dating in June 2011.

Joy had her suspicions about Bushby from the first time she saw him with Katie. She says: “His eyes were glazed. I had this horrible gut feeling about him. He seemed strange, anti-social.”

Sabrina adds: “He was her first boyfriend so I thought she’d be excited to talk about him. But she would shrug off any question.

“We imagine she was told to keep quiet about their relationship. He wanted to cover his tracks.”

They believe Bushby planned to kill Katie on December 23, but because she had told Sabrina she was meeting him, he changed his mind. Instead he bombarded her with texts and Facebook messages over Christmas, then stabbed her to death on Boxing Day. In court, Bushby initially claimed the killer was Dan Tress — one of his fake Facebook friends along with Cyn Darwin, Shane Pleuon and Krystal Stanguard. But police confirmed all the profiles were his.

Bushby was sentenced to 25 years in prison for murder at St Albans Crown Court in July last year.

For the family, losing Katie is a heartache they feel daily.

Sabrina says: “We will never forgive him. He’s not just robbed us of Katie, he’s destroyed us all as well.

“He’s taken her life, but he’s claiming all of ours. We’re living on earth through hell.”

Joy adds: “We need to speak out to make sure that social media crimes like this stop. Parents need to be more aware of what their children are doing online.

“If we can save one life, then at least something positive can come out of this tragedy.”

A young girl was dragged to the feet of her rapist and forced to apologise to him after her father refused to believe she was being sèxually abused.

Tina Rogers was just 11 years old when her uncle began raping her on a weekly basis at her grandparents' home, while her family laughed and joked downstairs oblivious to what was happening.

Finally, more than two decades after the abuse started, 63-year-old Colin Dunn was jailed for 16 years for sèxually assaulting children over a 50-year period.
He was found guilty of seven offences of rapè and two charges of indecent assault at Burnley Crown Court on February 12.
sèx pervert Dunn told an innocent Tina he was the only one in her family that loved her before grooming her and forcing her to have sèx with him against her will.

Tina, now 37, was then forced to live with the horror of her abuse after bravely trying to confide in her father, before being dragged to apologise to her rapist when her family refused to believe the allegations.
Tina, from Preston, Lancashire, said: 'I went to tell my dad that Colin was touching me. I wanted to tell him he was having sèx with me, but I was scared how he would react. I said he was touching my bottom.

'Dad went mad. He dragged me up to his house and made me apologise to Colin's face. My uncle sneered down and me and said he wouldn't do anything like that to me.

'None of my family would believe me. I could describe his bedroom, but it didn't matter. No-one would listen.'

Tina grew up in what she believed to be a tight-knit family, so as a child there appeared nothing wrong with her spending time with her loving uncle.
But his actions soon turned sinister, as he encouraged Tina to spend more time with him.

She said: 'The first time I remember anything happening was when I was putting food into the fish tank. He sat on a chair behind me and put his legs around me, and then he started touching me.

'I was naive, I didn't know what sèx was. It didn't occur to me what he was doing to me was wrong and I believed that he loved me.

'Colin said we would both get into trouble but especially me, so I didn't say a word. I had sèx with him too many times.'

But as Tina got older, she began to realise that her relationship with Dunn was not what it should be.

She said: 'I was watching TV one night and there was a prostitute on the screen. My mum said she was dirty. I then realised what was happening to me was wrong as well.'


As a teenager, Tina, who has an older brother and sister, was put into care and even called a 'reject' by her mother.

She said: 'They got rid of me. I was told to shut up or it would be ten times worse.'

When she was 21, Tina finally found the courage to report her rapist.

She said: 'I was terrified he was doing what he had done to me to other girls.'

Dunn was arrested and the charges were put to him. But while he was in police custody, he collapsed and was taken to hospital.

Police said there wasn't enough evidence against him and Tina was forced to watch her attacker walk free.

More than a decade after Tina was forced to believe Dunn would never be convicted of his crimes, he was handed a 32-month sentence after confessing to attacking five and six-year-old girls he had befriended close to his home.

He lured the youngsters with toys, Easter eggs and promises to look after their animals.

Following the conviction in October 2011, Tina's statement was reviewed and Dunn was finally charged with two counts of rapè on her as a child.

Tina said: 'Two girls came forward and told police what he had done to them.

'Those little children that have spoken out deserve a medal for being so brave, and so do their parents for supporting them and believing them.

'I can't apologise enough to the other parents because it shouldn't have happened.'

Passing sentence, Judge Beverley Lunt told Dunn: 'It cannot be said that at any stage of your life you led a blameless existence.

'For decades you have been a perverted sèxual abuser who has preyed on young girls.'

Dunn admitted the charges due to the amount of evidence served against him.

'He had nothing left,' Tina added. 'When I saw him in court, I stared right at him. He looked empty. It was the closest I had been to him in a long time.

'I felt relieved to see him sentenced. I can't believe it's finally over. I've waited so long for justice.

'But while I know he is being punished, it will always hurt that I was disbelieved by my family about it for so long.'

Detective Constable Matt Capper, of the Pennine policing division's public protection unit said: 'Dunn is a predatory and dangerous man whose offending spanned decades.

'His offending has not only had significant health implications for his victim but they will now have to live with this for the rest of their lives.

'They showed immense bravery and courage in coming forward. I hope this sentence will offer a degree of closure and allow them to move forward with their lives.'

One of 2face Idibia's baby mamas, Sunmbo Ajaba, is set to wed the senior pastor at Royal Christian Centre, David Adeoye. Their wedding has been fixed for Saturday May 4th 2013. Their court wedding will hold Thursday May 2nd at the Ikoyi registry. They already held their introduction ceremony.

David and Sunmbo have been friends for many years but their friendship changed after David lost his wife, Folake Adeoye in November 2011. Sunmbo is one of the active members in pastor Adeoye's church and is a committed choir member who leads the praise and worship. Her event company handles most of the church events.

Nigeria’s Female Banker Steals Customer’s N26m

A staff of a mortgage bank in Lagos, southwest Nigeria, Folayemi Oluwayemisi Adedayo, 41, has been charged to court for illegally withdrawing N26 million from a customer’s account.

The banker was arrested by the police at Zone 2 Command, Onikan, Lagos.

She was arraigned before an Igbosere Magistrate’s Court on an 18-count charge of felony to wit, forgery and stealing.

The police alleged in charge suit No. F/7/2013 that the accused was arrested following a complaint by a customer of the finance house, Reverend T.O. Mobolale that the accused forged his signature and withdrew N26.5m from his account, property of Light House International School, Ikorodu, Lagos.

He stated that the accused between 8 January and 15 August 2012 cleverly withdrew N1,525,000 twice, N1,550,000 twice N1,200,000, N1,650,000 thrice, among others, without his approval.

He further stated that she committed the offence at 54, Adetokunbo Ademola Street, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The offence, said the police prosecutor, Inspector Marcus Okon, contravenes section 409, 285 (6) and 333 (2) (a) of the criminal laws of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2011.

The accused pleaded not guilty to the charges, and the presiding magistrate, Mrs. Omotosho admitted her on bail in the sum of N500,000 with one surety in like sum who must show proof of tax payment to the Lagos State government.

She adjourned the matter till 25 March 2013 for mention. The defendant was moved to Kirikiri Prison pending when she would fulfil the bail condition.

3 Female Undergraduates Beaten To Coma Over Stolen Pants

Angry market women yesterday beat three female undergraduates to coma at the popular Asaba Ogbegonogo market, in Delta State for allegedly stealing various pants at the boutique line.

Eyewitness said that the suspects were caught with the pants after they had pretended to be customers and paid for two different ones selected from the hangers.

It was gathered that the suspects’ who are undergraduates of the state owned university were said to be regular visitors to the market.

But the trust the traders have in them as regular customers evaporated when one of them, a 200 level mass communication student (names withheld) sought to be accompanied to where they could buy good pants and the suspects paid for two packets of mixed coloured pants and in the process allegedly removed three other packets alongside the ones they bought. Luck however ran out on them as the trader suddenly noticed the removal of some packets from where they were displayed.

They were said to have been beaten severely by the angry market women who raced to the scene of the incident. Police authorities at the ‘A’ Division Asaba confirmed the incident.

Police nab car snatcher in Calabar

The Police in Cross River State have arrested a member of a syndicate that specialises in snatching cars within and outside the Calabar metropolis.

A statement on Tuesday by the Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. John Umoh, said two vehicles that were stolen by the syndicate had been recovered.

He said the breakthrough was sequel to a complaint lodged by a taxi driver, Mr. Daniel Okon, at the Federal Housing Police Station after his Volkswagen Vento car with number  plate Cross River, XB 407, CAL, was stolen at gunpoint on Saturday.

The statement read, “About 11.10am on Saturday, one Daniel Okon, a taxi driver reported at the Federal Housing Police Station that four men hired him. On getting to a street, one of them brought out a locally made pistol and ordered him out of the vehicle and they drove off.”

Umoh noted that the taxi driver raised the alarm which attracted the police patrol team in the area.
The police according to Umoh, responded and chased the robbers, which resulted in the arrest of one of the robbers, recovery of the Vento car and the recovery of a locally made revolver pistol. Also recovered was the operation vehicle of the gang, a Mazda with registration number Lagos EE 658 FST that was also suspected to have been stolen.

Umoh attributed the success to the zero tolerance anti-crime policy of the new Commissioner of Police, Mr. Kola Sodipo.

TRUE CONFESSION: NEVER OPEN YOUR LEGS FOR SEX BEFORE MARRIAGE

Below is a true story and a testimony from a young lady. she has shared her story so that others maybe saved. PLZ READ

I used to be that innocent girl who had the world at her feet. I was beautiful and I had eyes and hips that could make men sway, and to top it all up, I was a Christian, a very good Christian with a heart burning for God.
When I entered the university, I met a guy, his name was Derrick. I couldn’t believe my luck the first time I bumped into him on my way to class, he had such a kind smile and a tender look that weakened my knees when he spoke.
Because I was late for class we couldn’t talk much but barely three weeks later, I met him at the fresher’s night party and I was overwhelmed. We got talking and I found out that he was in his second year and from that night, we became an inseparable pair.
At first, we were friends and as months passed by, we got closer and closer and the chemistry between us was undeniable.

About a year after I entered the university, Derrick and I started dating. He was everything a girl could ever want and desire save the fact that he wasn’t so much of a Christian. Derrick had magical hands that made him hard to resist and most times I fell for it. At first, I felt bad but when I couldn’t help falling into the same pit I killed the guilt on my inside. And then one day, one of my friends said I was getting fatter and that got me thinking and in the process I began to link the dots…first I had a vomiting spree every morning which I thought was due to a flu and then I had this morning sickness which I felt was due to stress and then my missing period…oh no it can’t be possible I said to myself, I couldn’t be pregnant!!!

After a series of test outside school, I realized the deadliest truth, I was indeed pregnant. I was only nineteen, I still had a whole life ahead of me, what was I going to do. I couldn’t tell my parents, they wouldn’t hear of it. I had to go to Derrick to tell him what I had found out.

On telling him, I saw him fly into a temper I had never seen in my life. He was so hysterical, calling me all sorts of names and I didn’t even know when I started crying heart drenching tears of hurt and betrayal. When he looked into my eyes he must have realized how scared and hurt I was and so he pulled me close and ran his hands through my hair until I had calmed down and then he said tome in the most subtle voice ever ”why don’t you have an abortion”.I pulled back instantly, I couldn’t have an abortion! But when he talked about my parents and the sanctioning of the school and the fellowship which I belonged to, I knew I had no other choice.

Derrick had made all the arrangements and so on the supposed day we went to the room- like clinic. I shivered all through my way

there but Derrick kept telling me that it would be okay and that he was proud that I made such a brave decision. When I entered into the room where the abortion was supposed to take place I laid down on the table trying to dissociate my mind from what I was about to do and then a young man told me sternly, ” you know I can’t perform this procedure with your underwear on” and then I began to pull it off. As I did this a sense of guilt overwhelmed me, first I had pulled off my underwear of pleasure and now I was pulling it off to get rid of the stigma the pleasure had brought…what a shame, I felt so exposed.

All through the times that I felt instruments coming in and out of me, I kept thinking of the lady I had become and the hypocrite I had transformed into. I let out a sigh, only if I can get through this I muttered… only if…and then I felt a sharp pain pierce through the whole of my body, I screamed but then the doctor told me to be quiet. I felt another pain but this time I bit my lip and then the pain began to come in successions. I instinctively knew that something was wrong but I was too weak to talk or to move and then I heard the voices of Derrick and the doctor talking about the fact that I was bleeding excessively. The pain was so unbearable and I could feel myself getting weaker and weaker. With the last strength in me, I pleaded with God ”Oh Lord I’m so sorry for taking my under wears off, please forgive me.” and I drifted into a world where the pain seemed less hurtful and the voices seemed more distant.

ROM 12:1, Friends, our bodies are the temple of the Lord… Do not take off your underwear when the time is not right. Lots of girls who gained admission into the university as virgins eventually lost it so cheaply to guys who have nothing to do with their

Destinies. In a bid to get a certificate, they sold out a destiny that certificate cannot guarantee. Sex before marriage is a sin and let us learn to hate what God hates. l have walked the road and l am warning you not to take that path but to follow the Lord Jesus..........AMEN
