Jehovah`s Witnesses to Relocate From Brooklyn Headquarters

Jehovah’s Witnesses said they want to relocate their world headquarters in Brooklyn, New York, to upstate New York.

In a statement online, the organisation said it had purchased a 102-hectare property located about 80 kilometers north-west of the existing facilities, where they have been since 1909.

The statement said: “It is expensive to operate and maintain the facilities in Brooklyn. By relocating to a compact facility, the Witnesses can make better use of funds to support their work of Bible education.

“An environmental review process is required before final permits can be granted. If all goes well, construction will begin in 2013 and will be completed in four years.

“Some 800 Witnesses will live and work at the new facility, which will include an office building, a services building, and four residence buildings.

“A modest museum documenting the modern-day history of Jehovah’s Witnesses is also planned.”

But this seems not to ring an alarm to many of his fans because a star like him can call any of his fans My Love.

They didn't end there conversation there, after Dbanj's recent London Concert  on Bank Holiday Monday, August 27, 2012, Adama again tweeted:

''You make me do happy'' This was followed by pictures of  herself and Dbanj's dancers backstage, followed by a picture of the supposed love-birds looking very sweet together. Definitely, it means Adama flew to London to watch her super boy on stage.

On August 29, 2012 she posted" Happy love, happy laugh, happy soul! And afterwards ''You make me do happy!" In some hours later, she tweeted - "When mumsi said ''I like your new Hannah Montana remix'' and followed it with a picture on instagram.

The question now is - has DBanj finally found his Mrs. Dbanj?

A couple who spent five years travelling the world together died just two days after returning home when they were hit by a train metres from their apartment.

Daniela Weiss and partner Daniel Oelter, both 38, had journeyed across some of the planet's most dangerous areas in a marathon tour that took them through Asia, the Middle East and South America.

But they were killed when they were struck by a train as they crossed a rail track near their home in Granichen, Switzerland, at around 9.20pm on Wednesday evening.

The couple were seen embracing shortly before they were hit by a train travelling around 70 kph.

Daniel was killed instantly, while Daniela was taken to hospital in Aarau but died the following morning.

Daniela's mum, Margrit Weiss, 70, said: 'I knew they were off travelling in many places where there was danger. I always knew something could happen. I worried every day. It was only when they got back that I stopped worrying - I never dreamed this could happen outside my front door.

‘At 1.30 in the morning I heard a knock at the door. I thought Daniela had forgotten her keys. But when I opened it the police were there.

‘When the police told me what had happened my throat just seized up. I thought I could not breathe.  Daniela is our only child.

‘Daniela was the best daughter you could wish for and Daniel was a great boyfriend to her. They were just great together.

‘It was so good to see my daughter again and have her home - but she died at the place which should have been the safest in the world,’ she added.

Daniela had decided to come back to Switzerland as she had problems with her teeth and needed treatment.

The glove trotting couple met and fell in love at 2005. They worked in Switzerland and shared their passion for travel - and eventually they decide to give up work - sell all they had and set off on their travels.

The couple had visited Asia, the Middle East and South America together before returning home where they were killed just days later

Margit said: ‘He was a great man. They were both just so good together. Daniela was very caring. She would always phone home and tell us about the wonderful experiences she was having. I was very happy for them both.

‘In March Daniela started having problems with her tooth. It got infected and she could not eat. She waited a while, but it didn’t get better. So they both decided they would return to Switzerland for treatment.
‘It was such a good feeling to see my daughter again. Finally my daughter was back. She was happy too, happy to finally be in safe hands, to be able to eat and sleep and get her treatment.

‘On her final day she went out for a walk with Daniel and came back around two hours later. She loved being outdoors.  I then went with my daughter to buy a TV and then we went for another walk. 


'Whilst we were out her boyfriend called and said he had maybe found a job for her. We had dinner together. I then went to bed. Daniela said good night and I said goodbye and she went off for a walk with Daniel for some fresh air.’
But she never saw the couple again.

A witness who saw the accident has claimed the pair were having a discussion shortly before they died and that they were seen cuddling by the tracks.

Daniela’s mother Margit said: ‘They were not deliberately standing on the tracks. They were excited about their future in Switzerland. She had taken her walking sticks with her, they were just out for a walk. 

'The pair were probably discussing Daniela’s new job. Perhaps they were distracted as they would normally have used the underpass.’

For Margit her world too ended under the wheels of the train.

She said: ‘Losing your child is the worst thing that can happen to anyone. You just do not imagine it can happen to you - just when we thought we had our child back and had even felt we had gained a son - we lost them both her forever.

Another Nigerian,Nwokorie wins second gold medal at Paralympics games

Despite our poor performance at the just concluded Olympics game held in London,Nigerians at the Paralympics game are winning medals.

Nigeria’s female weight lifter, Ivory Nwokorie, has won the gold medal in the women’s 44kg power lifting at the on-going Paralympic games in London.

Nwokorie beat Cigdem Dede from Turkey, who won the silver medal, while Lidiia Soloviova of Ukraine claimed the bronze medal.

Nwokorie, last year won bronze in the 44kg category at the third Fazaa International Para-powerlifting Championship in Dubai, to qualify for the Paralympic Games in London.

At this stage, the honourable threw caution to the wind, insisting that the hotel was trying to play a fast one on him. While the hotel was restrained not to embarrass him with the disclosure of his bill, the action of Hon. Gaiya had already attracted attention of busy bodies and concerned Nigerians.

At a stage, when the hotel could not withstand the honourable’s drama, it was disclosed that while the honourable was in his room, he was busy watching pornography channels that were considered premium channels with premium charges. At this stage, many were shocked and embarrassed that while Nigerian athletes were busy trying to do the country proud, the honourable was busy watching adult films in his hotel room.

Grudgingly, the honourable admitted watching the channels and was made to pay about two hundred and forty pounds sterling, (£240).

When the honourable was contacted, he neither picked his phone nor responded to the short message (text) sent to his phone.

Emekuku Family of 9 Died Of Generator Fume – Imo State Govt

 

On Monday July 9th, nine members of the same family died mysteriously in their home. Neighbours and other family members said their deaths was spiritual.

But the Imo state government said it has finally unraveled the cause of death of the Emekuku family. According to the autopsy result released yesterday by the State Commissioner for Health, Dr Obi Njoku, they were killed by generator fume poisoning.

The commissioner said the family slept and forgot to switch off their generator set and subsequently died as a result of the generator fume they inhaled while asleep and not by ‘evil spirits'

A South African woman has been arrested by police in Pretoria over allegations that she has been having s*x with her dog for some time.
Though police refused to confirm or deny the arrest on Wednesday, the Pretoria News has reliably learnt that the woman was arrested at her home in Moreleta Park.

According to police sources, the police secured a search warrant to search the woman’s home on Wednesday after a complaint by an animal protection organisation.
An anonymous person dropped off a DVD recording of the woman’s activities at the organisation’s premises. During the search of her home, police found more recordings of the woman having s*xual int*rcourse with the dog.
“It appears that she was recording these activities all along. She was immediately arrested after we searched the house,” said a police source. The woman is expected to appear in the Pretoria Magistrates Court on Thursday on a charge of bestiality

Over 1, 500 Nigerian students face deportation in UK

Around 2,600 foreign students could be deported from Britain after their university was stripped of its ability to sponsor visas for pupils beyond the European Union, the government announced Thursday. The move provoked dismay from students and accusations that the move by the Conservative-led government, which is bent on reducing immigration, could damage Britain’s global reputation.

 

London Metropolitan University has lost its “highly trusted status” because a survey found significant problems with the qualifications of many of its foreign students, Immigration Minister Damian Green said.

In a “significant proportion” of cases, there was no documentation that students had a good standard of English, Green said, and there was no proof that half of those sampled were attending lectures. He said the sampling of the university’s foreign students indicated that more than a quarter did not have current permission to be in the country.

“Any one of those breaches would be serious,” Green told BBC radio. “We found all three of those breaches at London Metropolitan.”

A degree from a U.K. university is highly prized by many students abroad, and those from outside the European Union often pay higher fees than residents. The British government, which has cracked down on immigration in multiple ways, has pointed to student visas as a category ripe for abuse by those who may instead be looking for work.

London Metropolitan has 30,000 students, and 2,600 are affected by the government’s decision, said university spokesman Nick Hansen. Students from other European Union countries don’t need visas.
The affected students will have 60 days to find new sponsors once they are formally notified by the government, or they could be deported. A task force has been set up to help genuine students who otherwise qualify for visas, Universities Minister David Willetts said, but with the fall term imminent students have little time to find new sponsors and courses.

Yakubu Adesokan from Oyo state has won the first gold medal for Nigeria in the on-going Paralympic Games in London.

The 33 year-old did it in style by breaking the world record in the men's 48 category by lifting 178 kg, which is over three times his body weight! Go Yakubu!
