A notorious drug lord told how he longed for his mother in a chilling final interview - before being marched to his death live on Chinese television

Burmese gangster Naw Kham was one of four death row prisoners paraded before news cameras in China today as they were escorted to an execution chamber in Yunnan province.

State media broadcast live footage of the four foreign inmates, convicted of the murder of 13 Chinese fishermen on the Mekong river in 2011, as they were taken to be put to death by lethal injection today. The moment of death was not shown.

LMAO!!! Male Student Wears Wrapper To School; Wins 20K Bet (PHOTOS)

This might sound and appear crazy but it's true.

A pre science student of Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka (Mbaukwu Campus) shocked everybody yesterday Thursday 28/02/13 when he wore a wrapper to school.

The student who is in E2, earlier had a bet with some guys in his lecture hall that he could wear a wrapper to school and the guys promised to give him #20,000 if he did. Guess what? The dude took the risk but lo and behold, after he stepped into his hall, the girls who could not hide their amusement started shouting, yelling and chanting.

The noise eventually attracted the security officers to the Hall and the boy was fished out & planked with heavy logs of wood. These action nearly stirred a riot in the school, as students detested the brutality saying the guy had the right to wear anything he chooses.

The Guy ran away, while he was still being assaulted. But he became a kinda 'celebrity' overnight.

It is no longer news that budding Nigerian hip hop act, Olaniyan Damilola aka Damino Damoche is dead following two gunshots; one to the head and another to his left wrist but what might be news is, Damino was killed due to his association with campus fraternity in his school, the Lagos State University, LASU.

News we are monitoring indicate that the attack was a reprisal from a rival gang, as Damoche was alleged to be a member of a confraternity on the campus – deadly clashes between members of rival cults on campuses is not new.

It would be recalled that Damoche was shot dead at about 4:30 p.m. on Thursday by suspected campus fraternity gangs outside the school premises.

Eyewitnesses said Damoche who was a final year student of Banking and Finance had just finished writing a class assessment when he was gunned down by his assailants who were on a motor bike

Kidnappers abduct 5 Lagos bound passengers along Benin-Sagamu rd

So robbing is not enough, they are now kidnapping passengers on highways? According to Vanguard, 5 passengers on a Lagos-bound vehicle were kidnapped on Wednesday morning by gunmen on the Lagos-Benin road near Ogbemudia farms. 

The passengers, traveling in a Greener Line space wagon Siena bus travelling from Warri to Lagos  ran into a barricade along the Benin-Ore- Sagamu-Lagos road. The bus driver sighting the barricade, which was a truck, slowed down.

Gunmen emerged from the bushes and took the passengers hostage after allowing the driver and one passenger to go and give information about the incident, Vanguard reports.

It was further learnt that one of the victims who lives in Lagos, was said to be returning to the state after a naming ceremony of his new-born baby in Warri when he was abducted along with other passengers.

The father of the victim, a retired army colonel, told Vanguard that the kidnappers had made contact and demanded N3 million ransom to set his son free, even as he pleaded with them to release his son unhurt, saying that it was difficult for the family to raise the amount they demanded.

When contacted, Edo State Police Command Acting Public Relations Officer, Awhara Ejiroro, said he was yet to be briefed on the incident.

MY LIFE IS VERY BORING - OMOTOLA

Omotola Jalade said and we quote “I can stop my reality TV show anytime, my life is very boring”

Few days back, a fan blast Omotola Jalade of staging a fake reality TV show and the actress replied with a very frustrating message that reads;

“My Show fake?Hahaha…. U could not recognize what fake is if it starred you hard in the face and punched you! #sangostriketheirteeth”

In a pre-show interview granted to PM news few weeks back, Nigerian actress and Omotola The Real me reality talk show host claim she initially tried to turn down the offer because it might become unbearable for her later on.

In the interview, Omotola explained that she isn't very pleased to do the show initially given that unknown to millions of her fans, behind that glamorous lifestyle in the media and red carpet drama they see, is a boring life that has started giving her concerns until the producers surfaced with the proposals for the reality show.

I’m actually worried that my life is becoming boring. It looked very interesting whenever I stepped out there on the red carpet, but the truth of the matter is that I don’t even go out. When I am done with my work, I go home. My life is very boring, but the producers say that is what they want. They want to showcase how exactly it has been that boring. They want people to see how boring my life is. So, it is a gamble. I am just taking a chance. But I can opt out of the show anytime I want. I think that’s the beauty of it. I signed a contract that if it is getting unbearable for me and my family, I can opt out of it if I want too,”.

All of the above points to the fact that Omotola Jalade might have been forced to do what she is not talented to do.

10 Year-Old Seyi Ojo Anjolaoluwa Emerges Nigeria’s Youngest Microsoft Certified

A JSS 1 pupil of Valencia College, Ibadan, Oyo State, has done his school proud by becoming one of the youngest kids that have obtained the Microsoft Certified Professional certificate.

A 10-year-old pupil, Seyi-Ojo Anjolaoluwa, has emerged the youngest Nigerian Microsoft certified professional and one of the youngest people in the world to attain such feat.

Born on July 21, 2002 to the family of Dr and Mrs Anjolaoluwa, the chubby boy participated in the MCIP test on July 24, 2012. He scored 869 out of possible 1,000. Due to his performance, he was adjudged by Microsoft as a certified professional in Microsoft Windows XP (Administration Management and Configuration, Exam 70 – 270).

Anjolaoluwa, a JSS1 pupil of Valencia College, Ibadan, Oyo State, has thus joined the league of world’s set of young Microsoft certified professionals, including Lavinashree, an eight-year-old Indian, and two Pakistanis, named Arfa and Thobani.

Though their performance was not as high as Anjolaoluwwa, some Nigerian children, which include Nwaiwo Favour of Royal Family Academy, Abuja; and Osaremen Davidson and Olanrewaju sh*ttu, both of Doregos Private Academy, Lagos are also in the good book of Microsoft Incorporation for their enviable performances in the certified examination.

Microsoft Certified Professional is an internationally recognised certification programme provided by Microsoft cooperation. The certification is tailored towards building skills on Microsoft business solutions, focusing on client-end operating systems such as windows XP, Vista, Windows7 among others.
Though he was not the only pupil registered by his school for the professional certification examination, the boy’s performance placed him shoulder higher than his five other school mates.

Except for his good looks and good natured smile, nothing about Anjolaoluwa appears extraordinary. But will he pursue a career in software/hardware development like Bill Gates and Michael Dell who started their software/hardware project around the age of 13? Anjolaoluwa said no.

After Sacking Don Jazzy, Dbanj Fights His Manager Bankuli For Working With Kanye West

Seun Bankuli is no longer D'Banj's manager. The pair got into a heated argument after D'Banj found out that Bankuli went to Paris after the Koko concert to work on Kanye West's next album without him knowing. Bankuli left for Paris after the Koko concert in December and his employer/artiste wasn't aware of his clandestine trip to Paris to drop adlibs on Kanye's next LP. When D'Banj found out, an argument ensued and went physical according to our source.

Bankuli is also a vocalist and sound creator apart from being an A&R and artiste manager and developer. Bankuli's vocals can be heard on 'Lift Off' featuring Beyonce off the Watch The Throne album. He was credited for his vocal contribution on the track co-produced by Don Jazzy. He also got additional vocals credit on 'Illest Mothadamna Alive' featured on the same album.

From his timeline on Twitter, Bankuli was indeed in Paris during the new year. On January 20, 2013, Bankuli tweeted about the cold in Paris, France.

During his stay overseas, Bankuli hooked up with G.O.O.D Music producer Travis Scott who was signed to Kanye West's imprint last November.

Court frees seven of the accused persons in Aluu4 case

Seven out of the 18 people arrested and standing trial for the murder of the Aluu4 victims were yesterday discharged by a Port Harcourt Chief Magistrates' Court. Their reason? Not enough evidence to suggest they were involved in the killing.

Those discharged yesterday were: Chinwo Cynthia (the only female suspect), George Nwadei, Ekpe Daniel, Gabriel Agburum, Finebone Jeffrey, Endurance Edet and Gabriel Ochie.

The remaining 11 accused persons, including Alhaji Hassan Walewa, the paramount ruler of Omuokiri-Aluu, will face trial for the murder of Tekena Elkanah, Toku Lloyd, Chiadika Biringa and Ugonna Obuzor.

Jungle Justice: 4 Armed Robbers Burnt Alive In Akwa Ibom (PICTURED)

Four gunmen suspected to be armed robbers were yesterday burnt alive in Ibanga Asakpa Oruk Anam local government area of Akwa Ibom State.

The robbers were said to have successfully robbed residence of the area in the early hours of yesterday and relocated to their camp where they shared their loots.

But they met their waterloo when youths of the community got wind of the operation and mobilise other members of the community to confront the robbers.

Eyewitness said that one of the robbers had earlier shot a woman believing that she recognised him during the robbery operation. The woman was later taken to a nearby hospital where she is currently receiving medical attention .

Four of the robbers were later arrested and set ablaze together with their loots by the rampaging youths.

Members of the community according to the eyewitness further proceeded to the house where members of the armed gang were arrested and set it ablaze.

The robbers who are from Ikot Effiong, Ikot Owure, Odoro Ikot and Ikot Iwara were said to have been terrorising the communities for quite some time now before nemesis caught up with them.

A 77 year old woman who did not want her name in print told newsmen that the villagers have suffered enormously in the hands of the robbers.

She said that members of her household alone had lost over four goats, uncountable number of chickens and other valuables to the robbers who operate under the cover of darkness with impunity.

The state police public relations officer (PPRO) could not be reached on phone as at the time of filling this report.

BIZARRE: Dog shoots owner with a loaded handgun (LOOK)

A bulldog shot its owner recently in the leg with a handgun, police reports can confirm.

Gregory Lanier, 35, from Florida was driving his pickup truck when the dog kicked the handgun on the raised floor section between the passenger and driver’s seat .

He thought it was unloaded but soon discovered the 9mm Beretta had at a bullet inside as it discharged and struck him in the left calf.

He reportedly told police he “heard a boom, saw smoke and felt a burning in his leg” as the bullet penetrated and then exited his leg hitting the door panel on the other side.

According to reports, Lanier drove his Ford F250 to a nearby petrol station owned by a friend who called for emergency personnel.

Police reports said Lanier told his friend the dog was jumping around in the truck and kicked the upholstered weapon. He also had a rifle in the truck, which he said was unloaded.

Sebring Police spokesman, Steve Carr said the bulldog was taken to a friend’s home. Lanier on the other hand was rushed to hospital for treatment.
