BREAKING: Three More LASU Students killed As Murdered Nigerian Artiste, Damoche Is Buried
Following the gruesome murder of
Damilola Ibrahim Olaniyan, a.k.a Damoche, by cultists at LASU (Lagos
State University) on Thursday, reprisal allegedly took place that
evening and reportedly continued till the following day. By the time the
late musician was buried in the early hours of Saturday in Badagry,
three more students, believed to be cultists, were allegedly killed in gruesome manner.
The three corpses could not be identified as of the time of going to the press, the social media were awash with gruesome photographs of corpses said to be those of rival gang members who killed the artiste. It is believed that one of the dead cultists shot Damoche on Thursday.
But as Olaniyan was being laid to rest, members of the rival cult, are suspected to have killed him, were threatening more attacks, even after he was buried.
In response to a story carried by The Eagle Online on Friday, a member of the rival cult, who identified himself as ‘Shameful To Be A Nigerian’, said one of Olaniyan’s friends, Alo, who vowed to revenge his killing, would also be killed.
A candlelight procession was later held at 6 p.m in honour of the late singer after the burial.

Nigerian Artistes Shun Damoche’s Candlelight Procession (PHOTOS)
The candlelight procession to honour murdered Nigerian singer, Damilola Ibrahim Olaniyan, better known as Damino Damoche, was held on Saturday night in Lagos.
Damoche was murdered by suspected cultists on Thursday evening at the Lagos State University, LASU, main gate in Ojo.
Though we couldn’t get images from his burial reportedly held in Badagry on Saturday morning, we were able to obtain images from the candlelight procession held in his honour.
We reliably gathered from witnesses that colleagues of late Damoche in the music industry shunned the event as most of them didn’t show up.
One of the participants said, “I hate Nigeria music industry. We expected some of his friends in the industry to come around but no one showed up. I am an entertainer and not an artiste, but we need to show love and last respect for the dead.”
It was further gathered that only Zeeworld, a fast-rising up and coming artiste, was present at the event, along with few relatively known artistes. Zeeworld was reportedly angry at the treatment late Damoche got from his colleagues in the entertainment industry.
The candlelight procession took place at late Damoche’s parents’ house located at Ile-Pako area of Agege, Lagos....More pictures after the cut:
Am In Trouble My Cousin Wants To Sleep With Me
UNEDITED:
I have always avoided sleeping over or living with any of my married female cousins or aunty or any female relation of mine that is married. Due to the passed experiences i had with my cousin's husband wanting to sleep with me , i decided that nothing will make me to ever sleep over in any of my married female relations or even visit regularly banned
Sometime last year i was posted to serve (NYSC) in Abuja, luckily i have a male cousin married and living with his family in Abuja. I was happy that at least i was going to live with my male cousin and there wont be any intimate harasment so i was relaxed. But recently my cousin started acting funny, making some funny comments, asking me funny question, he always wanted me around, embarrasing stares and all that. But at first i was uncomfortable, somehow i was relaxed hoped that my cousin was just joking and wouldnt think of doing such thing to his little cousin. But one fateful day his wife travelled and i was alone with him and his kids, he came into my room drunk and was forcing me to sleep with him, i shouted him out of the room. since that day his attitude towards me changed, started picking on me,accusing me of one thing or the other. I know my days in his house is numbered . But please my fellow Readers, WHY IS IT THAT GUYS CANNOT CONTROL THAT THING INBETWEEN THEIR LEGS . Once that urge comes they will just damn the consequences, damn their intergrity, damn their self respect and respond to their mundane desires.
Why is that most married men are never faithful to their wives? Most women are not comfortable when they have a female relation around most especially people from her own side. A friend of mine told me that non of her female relation not even her blood sister wil live with her or even pass a nite in her place for the fear of loosing her hubby to them.

Revealed! The True Story of How LASU Student, Damoche Was Murdered
By: BAYO ADETU, PM NEWSDamilola
Olaniyan, a fast-rising hip hop artiste and final year student in the
Faculty of Management Science at the Lagos State University, LASU, was
Thursday murdered by two unidentified gunmen.
The late Olaniyan, a.k.a. Damino Damoche, became popular through his lewd song, Obo To She.
Damoche was expected to perform at the school’s Dean Cup Final at the LASU Sports Centre few minutes before he was murdered in front of the institution’s gate. The unidentified two gunmen rode on commercial motorcycle popularly known as okada.
The
LASU Students’ Union Public Relations Officer, Stephen Olaleke, while
speaking with P.M.NEWS this morning, confirmed that “Damoche was killed
by two unidentified gunmen outside the school premises. Yes, they came
on bike, and after shooting him, they fled.”
The late Damoche was rumoured to be a member of Eiye Confraternity, but Olaleke denied it, arguing that “we didn’t know him to be a cultist. We don’t even know the identity of his killers, so we can’t ascertain why they killed him for now.”
Damoche, who was murdered at about 3:30p.m, was said to have gone to the institution’s Sports Centre with his friends after receiving a lecture. His department, Banking and Finance, was to play the Deans Cup football match final against Insurance department students. The match was later suspended due to his death.
“He was already seated at the venue of the match with his friends, and had already said that he would perform a track or two at half time. But few minutes later, he and his friends stood up, only for us to hear about 15 minutes later that Damoche had been shot dead. It was very painful,” Abiodun, a 300-level Banking and Finance student of the school said.
Also speaking to our reporter this morning, an executive of the LASU Students’ Union who craved anonymity, said efforts are on-going to “calm the students and make the atmosphere conducive.”
Only few students were seen on the campus today, but Olaleke claimed that it has nothing to do with Thursday’s shooting incident.
“There are few lectures on Fridays; so many students don’t come to the campus. But honestly, the situation is under control. The school authorities have played a vital role in ensuring that there is peace.”
Meanwhile, security has been beefed up in and around the school as mobile policemen have been drafted to strategic positions.
The late Damoche was shot on his head and arm. He died on the spot, and his body has been deposited in the mortuary.
Some of his songs include Street Madness Freestyle, Follow Me Wine and Pop Champaign.

Wanted Al Qaeda leader killed in Mali
Al-Qaeda’s top commander in Mali has been killed, Chadian President Idriss Deby Itno said Friday, in what would be one of the most significant blows to the rebels in the seven-week French-led intervention against Islamist insurgents.
Several newspapers in Abou Zeid’s native Algeria had reported his death and Washington had described the reports as “very credible”.
Deby said Abou Zeid, the Mali-based operative in Al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM), was killed in deadly fighting between Chadian troops and Islamist fighters on February 22.
“On February 22, we lost several soldiers in the Ifogha mountains after destroying the jihadists’ base. This was the first time there was a direct confrontation with the jihadists,” he said.
“Our soldiers killed two jihadist chiefs including Abou Zeid,” said Deby, whose elite forces are among the best desert troops on the continent and have played a key role in the offensive to liberate northern Mali.
Algeria’s independent Ennahar TV reported earlier this week that Abou Zeid was killed in northern Mali along with 40 other Islamist militants.
In Washington, a US official speaking on condition of anonymity said reports of his death seemed “very credible” and that if Abou Zeid was indeed slain “it would be a significant blow to Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb.”
French officials have so far reacted with caution, with President Francois Hollande saying Friday: “Reports are circulating, it is not up to me to confirm them.”
The killing of Abou Zeid, a ruthless militant linked with kidnappings and executions of Westerners, would be a major success for French forces, who intervened in Mali in mid-January to help oust Islamist rebels then in control of the north.
Algeria’s El Khabar newspaper reported Friday that authorities there had carried out DNA tests to try to confirm Abou Zeid’s death.
“The security services are comparing DNA taken from two close relatives of Abou Zeid with samples taken from the remains of a body supplied by French forces”, it said.
French and west African troops have been hunting down rebels they dislodged from northern Mali’s main cities following a lightning advance against the Islamists.
Abou Zeid, 46, whose real name is Mohamed Ghedir, was often seen in the cities of Timbuktu and Gao after the Islamists took control of northern Mali last year and sparked fears the region could become a haven for extremists.
An Algerian born near the border with Libya, Abou Zeid was a former smuggler who embraced radical Islam in the 1990s and became one of AQIM’s key leaders.
He was suspected of being behind a series of brutal kidnappings in several countries, including of British national Edwin Dyer, who was abducted in Niger and executed in 2009, and of 78-year-old French aid worker Michel Germaneau, who was executed in 2010.
Abou Zeid was believed to be holding a number of Western hostages, including four French citizens kidnapped in Niger in 2010.
| Abou Zeid: wanted Al Qaeda leader killed |
An Algiers court last year sentenced Abou Zeid in absentia to life in prison for having formed an international armed group involved in the kidnapping of foreigners. Five other members of his family were jailed for 10 years each.
He was seen as a true religious fanatic and more uncompromising than some other leaders of north African armed Islamist groups, such as Mokhtar Belmokhtar, the mastermind of January’s attack on an Algerian natural-gas facility that left 37 foreign hostages dead.
On the ground in Mali Friday, Malian troops arrested about 50 people near Gao on an island in the Niger river that was used as a hideout by armed Islamists, military sources told AFP.
Gunmen raid varsity hostel, rape two 2 girls
Gunmen on Wednesday raided the female hostel of Paul University, Awka in Anambra state, eastern Nigeria and dispossessed the students of their cash and various items, including mobile phones.
A witness said the armed gang carried out the operation for several minutes unchallenged. The Public Relations Officer of the University, Mr Ikechukwu Abana, who confirmed the incident, said the hoodlums came in the night and attacked the female hostel.
He said that some students had their phones and money stolen.
Abana said the opening in the fence surrounding the institution from where the gunmen gained entry into the school had been sealed.
He said that management had also applied for police presence in the school for night patrols.
“With all the efforts we have made, we are sure such incident will not happen again. The university is seriously addressing the matter,’’ Abana said.

UPDATE: No clue yet on Damooshe’s killers
The police in Lagos State are having a difficult time arresting the killers of hip-hop musician, Olaniyan Ibraheem Damilola, popularly known as Damooshe.
Saturday Tribune investigations revealed that the police, as of Friday afternoon, had not found a witness to aid its investigations.
Family members of the deceased musician on Friday morning stormed the Ojoo police station to claim the corpse of Damooshe, so as to bury him according to Islamic rites.
The police had directed Damooshe’s family to go and get an affidavit before the corpse could be released to them.
The image maker in-charge of the state police command, Ngozi Braide, while speaking with Saturday Tribune, confirmed the difficulty of the police in getting eyewitness account of the murder.
Braide added that not even the school security men, who were on duty at the gate where the musician was killed, were ready to give information.
She, however, stated that the chief security officer of the school had promised to send the school’s account of the incident to the police.
Meanwhile, Saturday Tribune gathered that the death of Damooshe might not be unconnected with the rivalry between the Eiye and Aiye confraternities at the Lagos State University.
Indications also emerged that Damooshe’s assailant must have trailed him for hours before he was eventually shot and killed by a gang of two men who reportedly operated on a motor bike.
There are, however, uncertainties on whether the late Damooshe received any call before heading out of campus, before he was killed.
An unidentified friend of Damooshe, commenting on a media site, stated that he and the slain musician had gone to the school playing ground to watch a football match.
He added that Damooshe left the playing ground before the game ended, thus raising suspicion that his killers were monitoring him.
