Diego Maradona wants to bring Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard to Dubai with a £6million-a-year contract offer.
It was gathered that the Argentine legend wants to lure the Stamford Bridge favourite away from west London to the tax-free emirate.
However, the situation at the Blues changed dramatically yesterday as owner Roman Abramovich sacked manager Andre Villas-Boas after the 1-0 loss at West Brom on Saturday.
The report also claims that Lampard is being chased by Serie A side Inter Milan and they are lining up a summer bid for the England international.
Former Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti is also thought to be keen on taking the 33-year-old to his new club Paris St Germain.
The Nerazzuri reportedly made a bid of around £13million in 2010 for Lampard in a bid to reunite him with then Inter manager and former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho.
It should not take quite so much to secure a transfer this time round due to the player’s age and him only having a year left on his contract this summer.
